| The BC represents business
of all types - multi-nationals, medium-size companies and small
enterprises. One of the Constituency's strengths is its association membership - which extends BC outreach directly to over 50,000 companies, of which over 85% are SMEs. See the table below for details. Moreover, the BC counts among its members two substantial business federations. The ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) is the world's business organisation. It groups through its World Chamber Federation the globe's chambers of commerce. MEDEF through its network membership of regional and sectoral associations represents a huge part of French business. Through these organisations the BC outreaches to over 1.5 million companies worldwide. Around 90% of these are small and medium enterprises (SMEs). |
